FAQ

What's your product return policy?

If you're not happy, we're not happy! Hair products may be exchanged for any other product or product credit. Exchanges or returns must be initiated within 7 days. If you're unable to visit us during store hours within 7 days, please call us at 803-808-0420 and let us know you'd like to return your product. We cannot accept returns or exchanges after 7 days without a prior phone call.

What is your policy regarding children in the salon or spa?

We LOVE children, many of us are mothers! However, we ask that you make child care arrangements and not bring your children with you to your appointment. Many guests look forward to a tranquil, quiet environment and see their experience here as their personal pampering time. A salon is also a very dangerous area for the young, even the best behaved children are subject to the elements of danger (sharp scissors, hot irons, glass shelving, etc). We cannot guarantee their safety. Please respect this policy and know that we greatly appreciate your understanding! In return, when your child is receiving a service, we promise to see that no pesky grownups disrupt their experience!!

If I submit an appointment request through the "appointment request" button on your website, does that reserve an appointment?

Your appointment is not confirmed until the front desk staff contacts you directly or you receive an email confirming all details of your appointment with a personalized message from the front desk staff. This email will tell you that your request has been confirmed or has been rescheduled (if your requested time/date is not available) followed by a message from our staff.

Is it okay to put makeup on after my facial?

For best results, try to let your skin breathe and let the treatment soak in for at least 8 hours. You can apply makeup if you need to, but be mindful that your pores are open and your skin may be more sensitive to foundations and powders.

What do I need to know before receiving a massage?

Wear comfortable clothing to your appointment. Before your massage, your therapist will ask preliminary questions to determine your wellness goals and consult with you about problem areas or past injuries. The therapist will leave the room while you undress, remove clothing to your level of comfort. Lie on the massage table underneath the sheet, your entire body will be draped during the session except for areas being massaged at that time. Your therapist will check on pressure and comfort throughout the session, if you're uncomfortable at any time let them know immediately. After the massage, the therapist will quietly leave the room. Feel free to take your time getting up and dressing, you will be in what we call "Massage Fog" so avoid wearing difficult clothing to put back on! Make your way to the front desk when you are ready to check out.

What is the difference between all of your bikini waxes?

The difference in the bikini waxes is the amount of hair that is removed during the waxing. This includes the mons pubis, inner and outer labia, and anal regions.

Bikini – only 2 inches is removed along the bikini area.

Brazilian Bikini – all of the hair is removed and a narrow strip or triangle is left at the top.

Full Brazilian – all of the hair is completely removed.

This will be my first Brazilian wax. What can I expect? Will it hurt? Will I have irritation and redness?

Waxing will sting a little bit depending on your pain tolerance and skin sensitivity. However, if you maintain a regular waxing schedule the pain decreases significantly each visit. Some irritation and redness is common for the first 24 hours after your appointment due to the histamine reaction caused by the removal of the hair by the root. However your skin will desensitize over time and your hair will grow back lighter and finer!

Is it okay for anyone underage to receive treatments?

Bella Riley’s will cater to underage clients with a signed consent from their guardian.

Should I tell my therapists if I’m using any prescription medicine?
